Human Body Anatomy And Physiology

Human Body AnatomyDo you want to learn about human body anatomy and physiology? Anatomy describes the location and structure of a particular body part. Physiology describes how the body functions and what it does.

Anatomy is the study of the structure of living organisms, comprising large scale anatomical structures, and microscopic anatomical structures. The study of human anatomy and physiology provides an understanding of the structures of the body and how they work. Each system depends on the others, either directly or indirectly, to keep the body functioning normally.

There are 78 organs in the human body, and they are all made up of tissues. A tissue is a group of cells that together does a specific function. The type of tissues that can be found in humans are muscle tissue, connective tissue, epithelial tissue and nervous tissue.

Physiology is the study of how the body functions. It is the study of the biochemical, physical and mechanical functions of living organisms.

• memorize basic information as a foundation for later study
• review your basic biology
• learn the terminology; make cheat-sheets or flashcards if needed
